GPSC in collaboration with SWAP & GO is targeting the EV business with the production of G-Cell battery for swappable battery packs of motorcycles, gearing Thailand up for the energy of the future.

On 26 March 2021, Mr. Worawat Pitayasiri, President and Chief Executive Officer of Global Power Synergy Public Company Limited or GPSC (the second from left), and Ms. Arweemas Sirisaengtaksin, Managing Director of Swap & Go Co., Ltd. (the second from right), signed a memorandum of agreement to study and further develop G-Cell battery, a semi-solid lithium-ion battery cell which is expected to start regular production by the second quarter of 2021 at GPSC’s energy storage unit production plant, located in Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate in Rayong Province for use as a swappable electric motorcycle battery. The cooperation will accommodate the needs of a growing number of electric motorcycle users, offering a clean energy alternative and providing a better quality of life for the Thai people, in line with PTT Group’s vision in adopting technology and innovation to create sustainable growth of the business, society, and environment.
