GPSC wins two ASRA 2020 awards for transparent reporting, moving the organization forward as a world-class sustainable company.

GPSC won two ASRA 2020 awards, one of Asia’s top awards, namely the Silver class award in the Asia’s Best Integrated Report category and the bronze class award in the Asia’s Best Materiality Reporting category.

Mr. Worawat Pitayasiri, President and Chief Executive Officer of Global Power Synergy Public Company Limited or GPSC, the innovative power flagship of PTT Group, stated that the awards marked the company’s success in its unwavering commitment to development in the economic, social, and environmental dimensions, which is in line with its sustainable growth strategy. As a result, the company has won the silver class award in the Asia’s Best Integrated Report (First Time) category and the bronze class award in the Asia's Best Materiality Reporting category from the 6th Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards (ASRA) 2020 organized by CSR Works International Pte. Ltd. The awards further attest to GPSC’s continued compliance with internationally accepted sustainability practices.

The silver class award in the Asia’s Best Integrated Report (First Time) category is given to organizations with outstanding sustainability reports containing comprehensive and integrated information concerning organizational strategies, business outlook, and key factors impacting its short, medium, and long-term value creation to ensure transparency in business operations of which all stakeholders are clearly informed. In addition, the bronze class award in the Asia's Best Materiality Reporting category recognizes the best practice in materiality assessment and disclosure.

Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards (ASRA) is held annually to recognize best practices in sustainability stewardship through sustainability reporting. In 2020, companies from 17 Asian countries submitted their entries. The 102 finalist companies from 14 countries were announced on a live broadcast from Singapore on 19 May 2021 via a teleconference as part of the COVID-19 prevention and control measures.
