GPSC - 24M to further develop power and energy storage businesses for sustainable growth

GPSC is ready to gear up for producing lithium-ion batteries to cater for the ASEAN market in particular to the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) after having joined hand with the US-based 24M Technologies.

Dr. Toemchai Bunnag, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GPSC, revealed that the company has reached a cooperation deal with 24M Technologies for using the US firm's technology to produce and distribute lithium-ion batteries in the region. GPSC is also poised to set up a lithium-ion battery factory with 24M's technology, focusing on cost-saving, better efficiency, and friendly environment in order to serve higher demand for lithium batteries in ASEAN. He said GPSC was confident in the energy storage innovation that it would become one of the state-of-the-art technologies to sprout up the company's electricity generating and infrastructure businesses and sustain its growth in the future.

"This is a big step of GPSC to become a market leader in the energy storage industry, which is part of its business growth plan. With the new innovative technology, there will be a variety of electricity generating platforms that are beneficial to the country and consumers, and also supportive to the company's sustainable growth," said Toemchai.
