GPSC announces the award winners of "GPSC Young Social Innovator 2018" under the theme of "Sustainable Energy, Natural Resource and Environment", which continues to bring new generations to take part in creating new innovations that preserve natural resources and environment and lead to new products, which add value to the community.
Mr. Sirimet Leepagorn, Executive Vice President Asset Management of Global Power Synergy Public Company Limited or GPSC, the innovative power flagship of PTT Group said that today (February 16, 2019) the company has announced the award winners of "GPSC Young Social Innovator 2018," which was held under the theme of "Sustainable Energy and Natural Resource and Environment." The awards were granted to high-school and vocational students or equivalent in Rayong, Chonburi, Chantaburi, Trad and Chachoengsao. Three finalists were selected from the first round of 20 teams. These projects have been developed and tested in their schools and communities before being judged in this final round.
The team that took the first prize was from Princess Chulabhorn Science High School Chonburi, namely "Smart Biogas" which received the certificates and Bt.50,000 cash prize, while the first runner up was "The Food Waste Separating Machine" from Kamnoetvidya Science Academy, receiving the certificates and Bt.30,000. The second runner up was "Packaging DIY by Kabkluay" from Wangchanwittaya School, which received the certificates and Bt.10,000.

In particular, the scheme encourages young generations to create new innovations of energy which can be developed further and applied to tackle problems in certain areas. This would inevitably lead to new social-oriented products and services that are sustainable and provide added values to the communities in the long term," said Mr. Sirimet.
