GPSC announces an interim dividend payment of Bt.0.50 per share to pay on September 12.

GPSC’s Board of Directors has approved the interim dividend payment of Bt.0.50 baht per share, with the XD (Excluding Dividend) sign posted on August 29, 2019 and will pay the dividend on September 12, 2019. The total dividend payment accounts for more than Bt.749 million, or 37% of the net profit, reflecting a substantial growth, while the company is due to gain additional revenue from new projects in 2019-2020 with innovative power projects for demand growth.

Mr. Chawalit Tippawanich, President and Chief Executive Officer of Global Power Synergy Public Company Limited or GPSC, the innovative power flagship of PTT Group, said the company’s Board of Directors has approved the payment of interim dividend at Bt.0.50 per share. That accounts for Bt.749 Million, or 37% of the company’s net profit. Individual shareholders shall be entitled to a tax credit for the received dividend in accordance to Section 47 bis of the Revenue Code of Thailand.

However, the Record Date to entitle rightful shareholders to receive the dividend will be on August 30, 2019 (Record Date) and the payment date of interim dividend is set on September 12, 2019.

This interim payment has reflected the effectiveness of the company’s operation and its success on acquiring Glow Energy Public Company Limited or GLOW. That has pushed GPSC’s 1H/2019 earnings higher in terms of revenue and profit. Total revenue was at Bt.29,057 Million, rising Bt.16,728 Million. That equates for 136% rise from the same period of last year and the company is expected to continue on the growing path due to the incoming commercial operation of 4 new projects during the H2/2019-2020. The 4 projects are the 65 MW Nam Lik 1 Power Company Limited (NL1PC) which started commercial operation on July 1, 2019, the 1,285 MW Xayaburi Power Company Limited (XPCL) in Laos, the Central Utility Plant 4 (CUP 4) in Rayong with 45 MW of power and 70 tons per hour of steam and the expansion phase of the Nava Nakorn Elecricity Generating Company Limited (NNEG) with 60 MW of power and 10 tons of steam. Moreover, GPSC is also developing innovative power projects to be ready for power demand growth of Thailand.
