Sriracha, Chonburi – Thaioil, together with GPSC, has delivered a rooftop solar power system installation project worth 1,750,000 baht to Koh Sichang Hospital to express loyalty and gratitude to His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun on the auspicious occasion of the Royal Coronation Ceremony. The project will help create energy security for the hospital, increase its ability to provide medical services to the public, ease its financial burden of electricity charges while also promoting the wellbeing of the surrounding community through better public health services.
Mr. Bandhit Thamprajamchit, Senior Executive Vice President Refinery and Petrochemical, Thai Oil Public Company Limited said "The royal celebration solar power system installation project for Koh Sichang Hospital is a cooperation between Thai Oil Public Company Limited and Global Power Synergy Public Company Limited. The installation project of a system with a 53.46 kWp capacity is among many other projects, illustrating Thaioil Group's commitment to improving community public health through renewable energy to create a better quality of life. This is in line with the company's social responsibility work under the concept of Sustainable Energy for Health Care, aiming to create energy security for the hospital, increase the hospital's ability to continuously provide efficient medical services to the public, ease the financial burden of electricity expenses, and also promote the use of renewable energy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and the use of fossil fuel. The knowledge in engineering and energy has been incorporated to create an innovation that promotes and improves the public health system."

The royal celebration solar power system installation project for Koh Sichang Hospital is a cooperation between Thai Oil Public Company Limited and Global Power Synergy Public Company Limited to assess the feasibility of the project in which an energy innovation is used as a prototype for other public hospitals and to improve the system's efficiency with various power regulating systems, using energy-saving equipment. Renewable energy is now available with the solar-energy power system while internal evaluation has also been conducted to review the efficiency of energy usage. Project success evaluation with regard to cost-saving has been done as well and hospitals and public health organizations can use the difference of electricity savings to fund other useful projects in the future.
