GPSC Group won the first runner-up for ASEAN Energy Award 2020, proving its success in renewable power innovations

GPSC Group won the first runner-up for ASEAN Renewable Energy Projects Award 2020 for its solar power system improvement and installation on Koh Kham Marine National Park Chonburi Province, ready to move forward to power innovations with environmentally-friendly management.

Mr. Chawalit Tippawanich, President and Chief Executive Officer of Global Power Synergy Public Company Limited or GPSC, the innovative power flagship of PTT Group, recently revealed that Glow Energy Public Company Limited or GLOW, a subsidiary of GPSC Group, won the first runner-up for the ASEAN Energy Award 2020 in the Off-Grid (Power) category for the solar power system improvement and installation on Koh Kham under the concept Clean Energy for a Marine National Park on the Island – Thailand. The company’s achievement reflects its capability in driving the clean and environmentally-friendly energy business , which will lead to a reduction in the greenhouse gas emission on Koh Kham, in line with the government's policy, while sustainably supporting Thailand’s eco-tourism.

The ASEAN Energy Awards 2020 demonstrates a business’s excellence and recognizes its significant role in the development of the energy industry and GPSC Group places great emphasis on technological development to create renewable energy innovations. GLOW was one of the private companies selected by the Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE) to participate in this ASEAN-level award.
